Obesity: A serious, prevalent and growing public health problem.
Excess weight is associated with:
A. Increased risk of coronary heart disease
B. Type 2 diabetes.
C. Hyper tension
D. And other known illnesses.
Despite the known seriousness of obesity, increased public concern, and record rates of dieting, obesity remains a common problem. As many as 34 million Americans are believed to be obese, and this figure may be increasing.
Obesity is a surplus of adipose tissue containing fat stored in triglyceride form, resulting from excess energy intake relative to energy expenditure.
1. Establish and monitor true training heart rates.
2. Teach cross training methods to avoid adaptability and plateaus.
3. Improve resting heart rates.
4. Teach client how to burn maximum body fat using various aerobic exercises.
5. Help client improve cardio/lung capabilities with proper amount of exercise.
